Audio boom poles with built-in XLR cable is extremely handy to use in the field, however the repair shipping cost and turnaround time is painful to swallow if the internal cable started to have issue. In this episode, TT shares how he diagnosed and repaired a boom pole with built-in XLR cable for its disconnection issue.
Example boompole in the video was Ktek 110CCR, and the same process could be applied to repairing other 3pin XLR cables as well. The audio in outro quick testing part was recorded with Saramonic SR-NV5 and Tascam DR100MKii, which was left with a high gain setting from the last recording session. As a result, unfortunately the audio in this part was distored and I am sorry about it.
