Dune: Awakening - Deep Desert, Logistics Tier 6 - Solo Guide

In this video, I discuss what I think are the most important factors for solo players to achieve tier 6 gear upgrades.

A major risk that can block you from obtaining your tier 6 upgrades, is Deep Desert burnout. The weekly cycle of moving in and out to avoid the Coriolis Storm can be exhausting (and numbing). If you don't work to optimize your base design and logistics, you're at greater risk of quitting the game.

To better optimize, you will need an assault ornithopter with storage module, a compact and functional base designed for refining, solido replicators, and dedicated storage for your deep desert build materials. Only haul what is necessary; harvest fuel cells and salvaged metal on site. Build your deep desert base using an advanced sub-fief console; you move out each week, so there won't be any taxes.

I recommend building your deep desert base with Plastone. A full week of damage to structures from multiple sandstorms adds up. The risk that granite structures might be destroyed is a risk that can be easily avoided.

Once you've made your weekly move cycle more efficient, you can focus on the real work of harvesting spice sand. For solo players, spice sand (therefore Spice Melange) will most likely gatekeep progression. One of the best mitigation strategies is you reduce the amount of spice sand you need to collect. Upgrading your spice refining equipment as fast as possible, is the key to getting the most out of the spice sand you manage to harvest.

Build the medium spice refinery as fast as possible, this is the top priority. You will also need the medium chemical refinery to process Stravidium, a component in Plastanium. I would prioritize building the large spice refinery over crafting tier 6 weapons or armor. If the Landsraad decree providing a 25% cost reduction to crafting materials is active, spice melange can be crafted at an incredible ratio of 1:38 Melange to spice sand.

Remember, construction costs in the deep desert are reduced by 50%.

Because of the changes that increased the availability of safe Titanium and Stravdium, building a refining base on the A-row is a good plan.
