The Slaw's Adventures in Cornwall part 1

The Slaws leave Holywell Bay and head for their campsite for week; Treveague Farm Campsite near Gorran Haven in Cornwall. Even following specific instructions to find the campsite, they find themselves in very narrow lanes and have a scary encounter with a tractor and their Hobby motorhome Helga 😱 ‪@HobbyCaravan‬
The weather has turned and there is heavy sea fret. When they arrive the sea is visible from their pitch, but the fret, heavy winds and rain quickly move in. They decide to stay in Helga for the afternoon to watch F1 quali and enjoy a few drinks. Oh dear Mrs Slaw 🙄
Next morning, there is still a sea fret so raincoats on and they set forth down a pretty little footpath from the campsite to the stunning little cove of Gorran Haven. It's only about a 20 minute walk to the harbour, two beaches and quaint roads that climb up the hillside. There are shops, cafes, a bar, fish and chip shop, toilets and surprisingly two churches next door to each other. The Slaws have refreshments at the Mermaid Cafe right on the beach. Ha, got you there! Not alcoholic, but very healthy smoothies. Don't worry, normal service is resumed by the end of the day 😂
As they explore Gorran Haven the sun makes an appearance and by the time they return to Helga to watch the F1 race at 2pm it's cracking the flags as they say in Yorkshire!
After the F1, the Slaws set off from the campsite in another direction and walk down to Hemmick Beach, a more remote place with no facilities. Their two Lhasa apso dogs have a great time racing round on the beach, and Barnacle Bill completely ignores Slaw and runs off with a bit of seaweed to chew!
Back at the campsite they have a tour of the facilities, but sadly find the bar has shut (even though the sign clearly indicates it is open Sunday until 9pm). Never mind, there's always cold beers in Helga 👍🏻
