Since I bought the car, the headliner sag and broken pillar tabs have been an annoyance. I hated the old, grey fabric and it was time for an upgrade. Most modern luxury cars have the option of alcantara, a synthetic suede, instead of a traditional weave. The Alpina B12 had it as well, and it looked- and felt amazing. My Audi S8, and G12 7 series have it and I can't see myself owning a car without an alcantara headliner, so if you're in the same boat, come along for the ride
