Soundscape Console — интерактивная инсталляция и инструмент для тактильного исследования звуковых ландшафтов. Работа строится вокруг коллекции найденных объектов и полевых записей, сделанных в одной конкретной локации. К каждому объекту прикреплена определённая запись связанная либо с ним самим, либо с местом где он был обнаружен.

Зритель взаимодействует с физическими объектами на столе, перемещая их и комбинируя, тем самым управляя звучанием полевых записей. Положение объектов определяет громкость, панораму, тембр, пространственное распределение звука, и другие параметры, позволяя участнику «микшировать» аудиоландшафт.

Инсталляция переводит процесс прослушивания полевых записей в мультисенсорный интерактивный опыт. Давая зрителю прежде всего инструмент и новую плоскость для исследования мест через их вариативный аудиоландшафт.

Soundscape Console — an interactive installation and a tool for the tactile exploration of soundscapes. The work is built around a collection of found objects and field recordings made in a specific location. Each object is linked to a recording, associated either with the object itself or with the place where it was discovered.

The viewer interacts with the physical objects on the table, moving and combining them to manipulate the playback of the field recordings. The position of the objects determines volume, panning, timbre, spatial distribution of sound, and other parameters, allowing the participant to “mix” the audio landscape.

The installation transforms the act of listening to field recordings into a multisensory, interactive experience, offering the viewer both a tool and a new dimension for exploring places through their variable soundscapes.
