I can almost feel Disney side-eyeing me for using two of their properties in one video.

Special thanks to my friend Reyna for being the reason I thought this up because of their awesome Isabela and Reyna cosplays. I don't usually draw pjo Reyna as having a beauty mark, but I wanted to include that as an homage to my friend, and also as a nod to Isabela's design since it's Isabela's song from the movie.
The rising platform/earth pillar scene is a double-reference, fun fact! It's very loosely inspired by both the tree platform in Encanto's sequence for this song and also my lovely friend Druid For Hire's Hadestown animatic.

Yes, the first part of the animatic is done in a slightly different style. I started it like that and then i figured if i continued like that for the entire song I'd go insane. I still went a little insane, but probably less than I would have. I made this over the course of about 3 days? Or more of three nights. I did not sleep. I'm gonna pass out after posting this.

Animatic plot: (Spoilers for Trials of Apollo!)
Reyna expresses her dissatisfaction with her position as praetor and the stresses that come with it to Nico, and how she wants to join the Hunters of Artemis. Nico, obviously due to his previous experiences with the Hunters, is not too sure about this. However, after a riveting musical number, he comes around to it.
