Today we will be exploring ruins of Fort Campbell in Malta. Join me in this walk through once magnificent military fortifications.
Fort Campbell was built between 1937-1938 by the British, to protect the northern approach to Malta, especially the St. Paul's Bay and Mellieha Bay and also to provide support to seaplanes landing near Mistra Bay.
It was equipped with 3 6-inch BL Naval Guns and some anti-aircraft armament.
Last soldiers stationed here until 1970 and since then the whole complex fell into ruin and became a tourist attraction.
A piece of history definitely worth seeing!
