The frame filter press is a set of knurled boards and frames, equipped with handles for handling and hanging on a supporting structure, separated by a filter cloth (cloth) and compressed by a pressure of about 15 MPa. The frames have openings for supplying suspension and filter fluid separately.

How it works
The slurry is fed into the frames, distributed on both sides, the filtrate flows through the sheets into the plates and is drained through them while the filter cake is formed from the slurry on the sheets. After filling the space within the frames with the sludge, the inlet of the suspension is closed and a washing liquid, most often water, is introduced into each second plate. The latter passes through the two adjacent frames, where the cake is washed, into two adjacent plates from which it flows. Then the frames with the plates are removed from the supporting structure and the sludge is scraped off. After cleaning it is re-suspended and compressed. (Wikipedia feed)

Rámový kalolis je soustava rýhovaných desek a rámů, opatřených držadly pro manipulaci a zavěšení na nosné konstrukci, oddělených od sebe filtrační tkaninou (plachetkou) a stlačovaných tlakem cca 15 MPa. Rámy mají otvory zvlášť pro přívod suspenze a filtrační kapaliny.

Princip funkce
Suspenze se přivádí do rámů, rozděluje se v nich na obě strany, filtrát protéká plachetkami do desek a odvádí se jimi, zatímco na plachetkách se z kalu vytváří filtrační koláč. Po naplnění prostoru uvnitř rámů kalem se uzavře přívod suspenze a do každé druhé desky se přivede promývací kapalina, nejčastěji voda. Ta z desek prochází přes oba sousední rámy, kde promývá koláč, do dvou sousedních desek, odkud vytéká. Poté se rámy s deskami sundají z nosné konstrukce a oškrábe se z nich kal. Po očištění se znovu zavěsí a stlačí. (zdroj Wikipedie )
