I extracted the raw sound files with Dragon unpacker, a program that downloads .pak files, and put them all in this video since i noticed that in 20 years, nobody bothered to make something similar.
Unfortunately Youtube seems to have damaged the quality of the files for some unknown reason.
How do you download/listen to these sounds?
There are numerous ways:
Essentially what you need to do is to open the .drs folder with a program that can open it, and one that can play the sound effects, i used Dragon UnPAKer and VLC respectively, as they are both free and very useful.
To locate these files, you need to go to your disk's folder ( C: ) ----Programfiles(x86)/microsoftgames/ageofempires/data/sounds.drs
of course if you've installed the game with any other method that isn't with the original disk, you'll need to locate where it was installed in program files, wether you used the microsoft store or Steam.
note that the sound effects for the expansion pack are located in the "data2" folder
