The Deverons were one of the many rock & roll bands active in the Winnipeg scene of the early to mid 60s. They consisted of Burton Cummings (keyboards, lead vocals), Bruce Decker (rhythm guitar), Derek Bylyk AKA Derek Blake (lead guitar), Edd Smith (bass) and Ronn Savoie (drums). Among the handful of recordings they made was a Burton Cummings original called She's Your Lover, produced by legendary Canadian radio DJ Daryl Burlingham AKA Daryl B, and released in 1965. By the end of 1965, Cummings left The Deverons to become the lead singer and keyboardist for The Guess Who (Decker later briefly joined them in 1966).
