This is a video demonstrating the sounds of the Smart Research C2 Compressor.
The C2 is a mighty compressor based on the SSL bus compressor. To me it is a true studio workhorse, able to produce subtle to smashing compression. When using the 'crush' feature things become really tasty. Making this video it reminded me to use this feature more often. It is a really aggressive distortion without losing definition. I have bought the side chain cable giving me a side chain from above 150 Hz. Unfortunately this device is not cheap, but it is definitely worth the money to me!
