I specialise in weight LOSS and health GAIN on this channel. Therefore, I DO NOT recommend consuming coffee or caffeine. You will gain weight from continually consuming caffeine.
If you follow my food recommendations you will lose weight. I am 5 feet 11 inches and I am about 63kg. The foods I eat allow me to lose excess fat without counting calories or starvation. I enjoy eating and so will you on my food plan recommendations. STOP feeling guilty and enjoy your life.
There are a number of health consequences from drinking coffee and consuming caffeine products. If you are having multiple cups of coffee a day, then I recommend slowly decreasing your intake. If you are on 3 cups of coffee a day, then remove 1 cup at a time. Remove a cup every week. When you finally stop having coffee, you will go through withdrawal symptoms such as feeling sad. This may last up to 3 to 4 weeks in some people. However, it is SO WORTH IT!
BREAK FREE from your DEPENDENCY on caffeine. You do not need stimulants if you have a good meal plan. I recommend foods that keep you full of energy all day. I never consume caffeine even when I am cycling and exercising hard!
Caffeine increases your insulin resistance. Caffeine increases cortisol levels, which lead to more glucose being released into the blood. Caffeine increases your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Caffeine increases your blood lipid levels.
Caffeine will ruin your sleep. Caffeine increases your bodies stress response by releasing cortisol. Cortisol is your stress hormone. Caffeine blocks the adenosine receptors in your brain. This means you lower the levels of melatonin, which is bad. You want to have higher levels of melatonin in the evening and at night. Chronically high levels of cortisol will damage your body.
Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor. This increases blood pressure. Chronic levels of high blood pressure can eventually lead to having a silent stroke. Vasoconstriction reduces blood flow to the brain, which impaires your cognitive ability. Years of coffee abuse can cause brain cells to die through apoptosis due to insufficient oxygen supply. Years of coffee abuse can make you stupid because of cognitive decline from losing brain cells.
The reason you consume caffeine is because you have been told that sugar is bad for you and therefore, you decide to 'quit sugar'. The body runs on sugar. Sugar DOES NOT make you fat. I recommend sugar in my meal plans. I test my food recommendations on myself first, and I am NOT fat. The coffee industry generates lots of MONEY! This means that this food industry has a huge marketing budget. This is why you see coffee being promoted as part of a healthy lifestyle when, in fact, it is NOT HEALTHY! Sugar is not your enemy. When you quit sugar, you become ADDICTED to drugs. But, you have been told sugar is an addiction. Every cell in the human body runs on sugar. The primary energy system of the human body is glycolysis. Your brain runs on sugar, not caffeine! Quit your ADDICTION to coffee and caffeine and IMPROVE your life quality.

A poor diet causes you to feel fatigued, and therefore, you feel the need to have stimulants. Fix the source of the problem with good food. IT IS THE FOOD. FIX THE FOOD and improve your life quality.
I do not recommend caffeine for exercise. It will give you a small benefit to performance if you use it as a one-off use. For example, if you are a cyclist looking to win a big race to get a professional contract, then this is the only time that I would recommend caffeine. Caffeine will destroy your sleep, and therefore, you will not recover properly at night after your training. If you do not get good sleep, then your training and all your sacrifices to get fit will be for nothing. I recommend a food plan that will make you fast on the bike. I used to have coffee, but then I had a heart palpation, which scared me into changing my lifestyle, so I removed my dependency on coffee.
