In this Lab Life Tutorial we show you how to use the rotary evaporator to remove solvents from your reaction flask. The concepts explained in this video are very general and can be applied to most rotary evaporator models.
Be aware that the rotary evaporator operates under REDUCED PRESSURE, therefore ALWAYS wear goggles, lab coat, and gloves when you use it. If you need to use the heating bath, make sure that your compound is thermally stable.
Please, remember to empty the collecting flask and wash properly the solvent splash head (or splasher) when you are done using this equipment.
