Led by KU Faculty member Keith Van de Riet (Architecture) this collaborative project reflects interdisciplinary research and practice. In two semesters of Design Build courses, ARCH509 students consulted with experts and researchers in other fields to consider the challenges of the current state of access, of maintenance, and of use to develop a design that offers new possibilities for the garden. They enacted that plan with the help of local experts and professionals over the course of the year.
