(from the Bible's Book of Acts) actually had power, but it was perceived as the "Great Power of God" by the people of Samaria due to his impressive magic, though it was ultimately counterfeit and self-serving compared to the true spiritual power of God demonstrated by Philip the evangelist, which he then tried (and failed) to buy, showing his true materialistic motives despite initially believing and being baptized.
The real power is in the Holy Spirit...and the said thing is that we deny the power there in...every single day...Surrender to The Most High..and your life will change for the Best within
