THE Efundja waters that crossed the Namibia-Angola border has thus far progressed rapidly, having reached Onghala village in Ohangwena Region.

This follows a day, after it was reported some ten kilometres inland, in the Engela area.

Senior Hydrologist Leonard Hango said that the water is moving in fast pace.

Hango made the remarks during an assessment visit to the area with governor Walde Ndevashiya and some local and traditional leaders.

According to him, the water has arrived in the country, after no report of water flow in the area.

He indicated that they will be updating the public on the matter and the way forward.
