How To Sketch A Pocket Full Of Memories - In Ink And Watercolour

I hope you enjoy this little flick-through of my most recent sketchbook, from March to May.

Many people who buy my SketchPockets buy them with a vacation in mind. I get that - of course. But for me, sketching is my comfort blanket: it's my self-soother, and as a neurotic person, given to "moods", I need all the soothing I can get! So even when my sketches aren't great, I feel such a buzz of enthusiasm when I imagine the creative possibilities that lie within the covers of my little black books.

For me, art is an everyday thing. It keeps me calm. I would even say it keeps me sane. Would I go so far as to say - it keeps me smiling? Mostly!

Do you know that I am offering a free trial for my Sketch Club for the month of June? You really should avail of it if you've been considering joining me. Until the end of July I am doing not one class per week, but two. Mondays from 6.00pm to 7.30pm GMT+1 is sketching from observation and Wednesdays at the same time is for fun illustration.

You get to be in my private Facebook group and meet the community; you can join in the live group chat for the half hour or hour we do that once a week; you get access to previous class recordings - and above all you get to embrace a positive mindset, where we leave our troubles to one side and try to focus on what's beautiful about out world.

A reminder that everything I do is manual and not automated, so don't expect anything to pop up in your inbox. I will send you details of each class before the day in question, along with a reference image and the tools you'll need. When you join, I have your name and your email address, don't worry!

The free trial is until the end of June. You might get something different on the receipt you get, but that's due to the limitation of the system I use: see above, re. everything I do is manual!

Then, if you decide you love us and our global sketching community, you will be billed €50 (about the same in US dollars) on the 1st of July. Even if your trial says you have two weeks, you'll be in the club until 30th June.

And of course I can supply you with everything you need, not just to sketch with me and our lovely community. but anywhere you go in your day-to-day life.
