[東方 Prog Rock] Faith is for the Transient People ~ Connections with Spirits | 雪K

WOOOOOOOOO!

Finally done! After 3 months of editing (and getting things ready for a move), the final MV for my Touhou album is finished! I tried to make this the most “high production” video I could make so I hope everyone likes it!

So, track 5, the title track - Faith is for the Transient People. Proobably one of the more underrated tracks from the series (it usually gets overshadowed by the track that precedes it in the game), personally it’s one of my favorites. It also took me a FULL YEAR TO WRITE! I initially got stuck trying to figure out what kind of song I wanted this to be (I had about 6 different concept versions). Eventually I landed on this prog-rock kind of thing, then I got stuck on the part that comes after the restatement of the intro after the first chorus. It took me about 2 months to think “hmmm, what if I just djented….” ….and it worked. Once I got that figured out it was pretty much a straight shot to the end of the arrangement….which was followed by several months of tweaking until I got everything pretty much how I wanted it (making this the most actualized, fully fleshed out idea I’ve probably ever made).

So with that being said, I’d also like to say a little update: This will be the last performance style music video I make….for awhile. While I normally find video editing pretty fun most of the time, the process of filming for these videos is cutting into my time of doing what I actually want to do, make music. I also would like to explore other styles, 1. So I can build up my editing skills and 2. So I don’t have to bust out a camera every time I need to make a music video for the channel.
