A big milestone at Burro Base Camp today as the donkeys were given access to their new Ritchie automatic waterer! But, the big yellow thing was a bit scary! Out came the treats and grain and within just a few minutes the first donkey took a drink! They are not stubborn, they are smart! They have to understand before they will try something new!
Thank you to the Colorado Unwanted Horse Alliance for the generous grant supporting the new waterers. And thank you to all of the people who volunteered their time to get this project up & running! We are grateful!
At Burro Base Camp, we find trusted homes for previously wild and domestic burros while acting as a steward for burros through training and education of the burros and the burro community.
