NOW Foods was founded by a chemist Elwood Richard and has always been deeply committed to the best scientific practices. While some people might think testing finished product is enough, we’re quality purists. We test at the beginning, design good processes to maintain that quality during production and test again at the end to assure the highest standards of quality.

Receiving and Inventory: NOW’s Quality Control process starts long before a product is produced. Before we allow a shipment of raw ingredients into our building, we test the temperature of the trailer, the pallet and packaging are inspected for damage and we use ultraviolet lights to assure there’s no other contamination. Each ingredient is assigned a unique identifier by our inventory management system, which follows the ingredient through the entire lifetime of the product.

Testing and Laboratories: We test vigorously to insure the identity, potency and purity of every ingredient, and to make sure there’s no contamination or adulteration. Our eight in-house labs are filled with cutting edge analytical testing equipment and staff to rapidly and accurately detect radiated ingredients, heavy metals and other potential contaminants. Our food scientists, chemists and microbiologists are constantly integrating methods to improve our existing formulas, as well as exploring ways to develop new products.

Manufacturing: We run one of the supplement industry’s most sophisticated manufacturing operations. Every step of the way, we following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), because we want to create and ship only the freshest and most potent products. Our goal is to achieve maximum efficiency without sacrificing superior quality. To you, this means: our products are the highest quality at the best price.

Shipping: NOW employs a sophisticated inventory management and order picking system. Our error rate is less than .02%. It’s very important that the customer gets what they ordered.
