I’m in Mosul, Iraq, one of the most historic cities in the Middle East — a place that not long ago was devastated by war.
Today, Mosul is rebuilding, full of life, food, and hospitality. I started the evening trying Iraq’s famous Lahm Bi Ajeen (Iraqi pizza), explored the old city, visited the stunning mosque and museum square, and met incredible locals who welcomed me for tea and conversation.
Walking through these streets, I was honestly shocked — Mosul isn’t what most people imagine anymore. It’s modern, vibrant, and filled with stories of hope and resilience.
