Season 5 is the final one! I would say that they have time to fix this ending but... Freema's apparently not coming back for this season.

Which is a shame, but she must have had a good reason for it.

She's done such a good job as Sharpe, hopefully there's at least some explanation and some scenes of her in the first episode of S5 to at least attempt to explain why she's suddenly running away from everything that she's ever wanted...
