This day was such a unique experience as we got to visit the marae of Taputapuatea. This sacred ground is the land believed to be the origin place of all Polynesian people. Our guide said it best as we truly had the feeling of the marae calling us to it. We also got to sit with local school kids to learn how they still make traditional crafts from natural materials.
Next up, we head out to Motu Iri'u for a day on the beach and island olympics!
