Alexander Lubyantsev began piano lessons with his mother at the age of five. He is a laureate of piano competitions in Russia, Poland, Estonia, Australia, and the United States, and took third Prize at the XIII International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2007. He has performed widely in Russia, as well as in Japan, Brazil, Norway, Estonia, Belarus, and the Czech Republic. Mr. Lubyantsev has also participated in the Ohrid Festival in Macedonia, the Dinard Festival in France, and a Russia-South Korea Friendship Concert in Seoul.
