This originated as strictly a book based video, but after sitting down and finally watching the last half of season 5 I have to say my love that spawned for them in the books around book 9 (finally, right? ha) has transcended into the show now. So it's MOSTLY of the books...but also somewhat rooted in love of them on the show because their angst is intriguing.

Fact is, I know most people hate this couple and I did for a VERY VERY long time (both on and off the show)...but I'm finally just over the moon for them in the books. Deadlocked was just perfect in so many ways, but especially for them. Bill is so very right, while Eric does love her and Sookie loves him, what Bill/Sookie share is more. He loves her. I know he majorly screwed up, but honestly, so has Eric...actually Eric has way more marks of wrong than Bill when you think about it. But Bill just really loves her, the end. You know you REALLY love someone when you defend them with your life endlessly and still idly sit by as she's with someone else. He really really loves her.

I read an article once that makes me think Charlaine Harris pretty swiftly decided to end the books and so had to think of a way to get rid of Eric so threw on this Freyda storyline rather abruptly to put an end to Eric/Sookie. It's strange. And really unfair to that coupling because they don't seem to be getting a fair shot at the end because it seems like things have always been about Bill and Sookie in the end. Honestly though I don't even care. I used to desperately want her with Eric, then Sam as end game, and now I really don't even know...it could be any of the 3 and I'd be happy.

Fact is: no matter WHO you ship her with on the show, I guarantee that pairing is better in the books. Sam/Eric/Bill/Alcide whoever. The books just offer so much better stuff as far as couplings go than the show does. Not that the show is awful, it's just with all the other plot lines Alan Ball makes up so much of that stuff gets lost. Not that the books don't have a million other plot lines, they surely do. They're just better okay! :p so read them!

So I know there aren't many Bill/Sookie fans around here, everyone prefers her with Eric and believe me, I loved Eric/Sookie for years and years and still do as well so I totally understand...but I hope you can enjoy this, because it was a ton of fun to make and I'm actually pretty damn proud of this one.
