Meet 3%, the new collaborative project from Australian MCs, songwriters and producers Nooky, Dallas Woods and Angus Field.
3% features Nooky – who wears many hats outside of a performing musician. He is the host of Triple J’s Blak Out and founder of We Are Warriors, recently scoring a Bronze Lion award at Cannes Entertainment Lions for the documentary ‘We Are Warriors: Through The Fire’.
Alongside Nooky is Dallas Woods, a veteran performer and powerhouse songwriter who is credited as the mentor and co-writer behind Baker Boys ARIA winning debut album, Gela, brings his own experiences of growing up in a cycle of poverty and abuse and channels them into the lyrical content of 3% first offerings.
Lastly, is the emerging Angus Field, the soulful singer-songwriter and vocal powerhouse from Coffs Harbour teamed up with Nooky at a First Nations Pathways program in 2022 laying the foundations for 3%.

Lyrics:
Telephone to glory
Oh what joy divine
I can hear the current moving on the line
Made by God the Father for his very own
You may talk to Jesus on this royal telephone
Shit, I think I need help
All these thoughts can’t be good for my health
About to hit the deck with the hand that I was dealt
I’m a gambling man, I go all in on myself
I wasn’t raised a quitter
Forgive me Lord I’ve been movin’ like a sinner
Tryna find a piece of myself that’s inner
But my patience for this world only seems to grow thinner
Huh
Why my people need to suffer
Why they judged by colour
Why’s it hard to talk to my brothers I can’t tell ‘em how I feel I cant tell ‘em that I love ‘em
I’m trapped in my emotions
Always feelin’ antisocial
And the lies blurred the facts,
Royal telephone can you call me back
I’ve now, had enough so please help me get through this, cause I can’t do this on my own
Somehow all these thoughts keep consuming the human I was
So please help me I’m comin’ home
Cause I’m so alone
Please pick up the phone
So I can tell my family that I’m comin’ home
Please guide me through
I got used to the dark, cause I was scared of the truth
Now I look in my heart I see the pure dilute
I need your arm around me now I wasn’t born to follow suit
I don’t think I’m worthy of family
I know they love me but I can’t stand me
I let my heart bleed on the track
Royal telephone can you call me back
