Inspired by the YouTuber @RambleFamily, and my friend Mat, Dougal and I take off for a spot of Hill Walking near our home in North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Rather than ambling aimlessly we indulge in a spot of 'Trig Bagging,' reaching a triangulation pillar as used by Ordnance Survey for mapping purposes.
Today in Part 1, we head to the Trig on top of Maireabhal.
00:00 Introduction to the video in VERY ROUGH WEATHER!

05:34 Practicalities: Where to Park, dressing for the conditions underfoot, ticks, dogs, and what it's really like to walk on peat bog.
09:01 As we climb, conditions get easier. We start seeing some beautiful panoramas and there's some footage from my DJI Mavic Pro drone.
