How to art journal in three easy stages

If you look at other people's art journals and think it looks so complicated or worry that you don't have all the right supplies, then this video is for you. I break down a page into three simple steps and share a few techniques, giving you alternatives for all the materials used.

Art journalling is meant to be a no pressure place to explore new materials, new techniques, process your thoughts and to enjoy creating for the sake of creating, so lets not make it difficult!

I start with the background, which can be one layer or many. Then we develop the focal point (maybe an image or words or both) and then move on to stage three - the final touches which bring a page together.

I am using a New Year theme, but you can follow this process for anything you like or just start and see where you end up.
