This is my full behind the scene journal for a documentary I filmed recently. Hopefully this video provides an understanding of what goes into producing a documentary for broadcast. With a lean operation, the role I pay as producer cover everything from scratch -- research, art direction, logistics, directing, offline editing where I piece all content asset and turn it into an impactful story, scriptwriting, and voiceover. The only thing I needed help with was online editing (colour grading, graphics and sound editing).
