Mahindra has officially entered a new era of electric mobility with the XEV 9e, a striking SUV-coupe that promises a blend of futuristic design, advanced technology, and compelling performance. Unveiled in November 2024, with customer deliveries commencing in early 2025, the XEV 9e is a significant step for the Indian automaker in the rapidly evolving EV market.
Design and Styling: A Head-Turner on Wheels
The XEV 9e immediately grabs attention with its distinctive SUV-coupe silhouette. It features heavily flared wheel arches, sharp triangular LED headlamps, and Mahindra's signature connected taillamps at the rear. The XEV 9e supports fast charging, capable of replenishing the battery from 20-80% in just 20 minutes with a 140 kW DC fast charger. AC charging times vary depending on the charger capacity (7.2 kW or 11 kW), ranging from 8 to 11.7 hours for a 0-100% charge.
