Niskayuna High School teacher makes 'alleged disturbing statements' on town property

A Niskayuna High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave following an incident involving "concerning statements" made during an event on town property.

According to a Facebook post by the Town of Niskayuna, the town was alerted to the "alleged disturbing statements" by a parent, prompting a report to law enforcement.

The event, described as a "special Sunday lecture," appears to have been organized by Michael Dickerson. A man with the same name is listed in the Niskayuna Central School District's staff directory as a social studies teacher. The lecture appears to have taken place March 9th at the gazebo in front of Niskayuna Town Hall according to an advertisement for the event, and was not supported, booked, or approved by the town, according to the town's Facebook post.
