Yume Nikki - lofi/chill/hip-hop mix

To kick off October, here's some beats I've found taking inspiration from perhaps the scariest game ever made - Yume Nikki. This is probably my most unique playlist yet, there's a lot more trap beats in this one and there's also a few other different ones. I want to focus a lot more on lofi mixes this month, so I hope this will be a welcome start!

0:00 - Barracks Settlement (Lorne Goldberg)
The Barracks Settlement was one of those that just HITS when you play the game. All of the barracks remixes in this are great, but I wanted to start with this one since it does a pretty great job recreating that punch when you first hear it.
2:30 - Save Theme (Cris)
Cris actually covered the save theme two times! This one is very peaceful, I love the compressed sound it has.
4:23 - Block World (MatthewWee)
To be honest, Block World is my favorite Yume Nikki song (with Mall Stairs and Kira Kira Waltz not far behind), so this being one of the coolest beats I've ever heard certainly is welcome.
7:32 - b a r r a c k s (yikesmusic)
I really like how the melancholy of Yume Nikki still finds its way into these remixes. If I ever make a second part of this, hopefully I'll find a cover of that song in the Mars interior.
10:09 - Save Theme (BOBI)
I really love the guitar sound with this. Guitar lofi + good beats are always a win in my book.
13:05 - Poniko's House (MatthewWee)
Yes, I was one of those people who heard about this game through Uboa. What can I say? It is cool. Hey, maybe Gaster's Theme only being a 15 second loop is a reference to Yume Nikki's style of music? It would check out, as the fun values in Undertale definitely take some Yume Nikki inspiration.

I'm surprised that this tune seems to be the one artists gravitate toward covering the most, but I'm very happy it is.
17:43 - Save Theme 2 (Cris)
I appreciate how different this is from Cris' earlier cover, while still being just as good. Oh jeez, I almost accidentally called Cris Kris. The deltarune brainrot is strong with this one...
19:58 - Aztec Rave Monkey (Gisula)
The best psychological horror games always have fire dance beats. This is a universally agreed fact. For further proof, see: Omori.
All jokes aside - this is REALLY good.
