As Shovel Knight finds himself in a new and unfamiliar place, he attempts to fight his way back home.
A really well-crafted character, Shovel Knight is a good adaptation of the indie title hero. He’s an all-rounder with moves for zoning, rushing down the opponent, and grabbing, with the tools for these options being great. What’s cool is that he has various assists that can help him out in battle, like Plague Knight, Polar Knight, and even The Enchantress and Gunvolt from the “Azure Striker Gunvolt” series for his hyper combos. His moves do a great amount of damage and he has some comedic moves such as a fake-out defeat taunt and an outro where he poses with the Batteltoads. He uses a MVC-style of gameplay, being able to do air combos. If you want a cool indie character for your roster, he’s your pick. For Shovelry!
