Ethan headed out to his friend's house one evening - and about half an hour later his mom received a phone call from the police. They said there had been an accident. She drove to the house, where she found out Ethan was shot with a shotgun, and was currently being transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Ethan lost so much blood, it wasn't clear if he was going to make it, or if the doctors could save his leg.
