Nos encontramos en el Monte Nebo, un lugar sagrado. Según la tradición cristiana, fue allí donde Moisés contempló la Tierra Prometida. Moisés guio a los israelitas desde Egipto hasta este punto, pero no pudo entrar en ella, pues murió en el Monte Nebo. En algún lugar de esta zona también se halla el Arca de la Alianza, escondida por el profeta Jeremías siguiendo las instrucciones de Dios. Jordania , forma parte de Tierra Santa y, por lo tanto, es un lugar frecuentado por los cristianos, al igual que el río Jordán.
