Psalm 83

Do not be silent, O God of our cry—
Rise up in power, let our enemies fly.

Your foes are roaring, lifting their head,
Plotting in secret the harm they spread.
They say, “Let Israel be no more,”
They gather as one for a ruthless war.

They conspire in darkness, they whisper in hate—
But You, O Lord, decide their fate.

Edom and Ishmael join the fight,
Moab and Ammon hide in the night.
Philistia rises with Tyre and Assur,
A circle of nations, fierce and impure.

Surrounded we stand, but never alone—
The God of Jacob guards His own.

Do to them as in ancient days,
When Midian fell beneath Your blaze.
As Sisera sank by Kishon’s flood,
Your hand prevailed, Your justice stood.

Blow them away like chaff in the wind—
Let truth arise and darkness end.

Pursue them, Lord, with Your storm and fire,
Let fear of Your name be their one desire.
Let all the nations bow and see
That You alone are Majesty.
