I've been on a Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon killing, I've been listening to Bluebeard, other Japanese rock bands, trying to keep up with my, local scene. It's all so wonderful, but kinda stressful in a way to keep up with. There's just never going to be enough time to do everything you want to.
Correct/Over and Purity are fucking great. In a perfect world at least Purity made it onto Bluebeard's later album. It's almost a crime we don't live in that world. This cut of Room 501 that later appeared on their album is very charming, and I can't quite say I like listening to one more than the other. Bittersweet fucking rocks but I can see why it wasn't revisited. But seriously, Purity, oh my god. Perfect. These songs and Bluebeard's album just scream the word "youth" to me. I'm not particularly sure why, maybe because I've been listening to them for a little over four years now. I don't really know. Reminds me to get on with my goals and such before it's too late.
