De Dijk (English: The Dike) were a prominent Dutch rock band that existed from 1981 to 2022. Named after Zeedijk, a street in their hometown of Amsterdam, De Dijk's music is a unique blend of soul, blues, and rock 'n' roll, with most lyrics sung in Dutch. Exceptions include the 2010 album "Hold On Tight" and the song "Enough is Enough," both featuring vocals in English by Solomon Burke, as well as "Stupid Guy" from the album "Wakker in een vreemde wereld," performed in English by the band.

De Dijk was founded by lead vocalist Huub van der Lubbe, his brother Hans van der Lubbe (bass), and Nico Arzbach (initially drums, later guitar). The band emerged during a surge in popularity for Dutch-language pop music, alongside bands like Doe Maar, Het Goede Doel, and Toontje Lager. Huub van der Lubbe's background as a poet and actor contributed to the band's broad appeal, attracting audiences of all ages.

Their 1988 album "Niemand in de Stad" marked a peak in their success. The 1990s witnessed a new wave of Dutch-language bands, such as Van Dik Hout and Bløf, who cited De Dijk as a significant influence.

On June 1, 2022, Huub van der Lubbe announced his departure from De Dijk at the age of 69, choosing to slow down and pursue other projects. The band performed their final concert in December 2022. Subsequently, Huub van der Lubbe debuted musically in the leading role of "De Man van La Mancha" a year later.

Current members as of their last lineup were Huub van der Lubbe (vocals), Hans van der Lubbe (bass guitar), Nico Arzbach (guitar), Antonie Broek (drums & production), and Pim Kops (keyboards, accordion, guitar). On stage, they were accompanied by Roland Brunt (saxophone), Peter van Soest (trumpet), and Jelle Broek (guitar). Former member JB Meijers played guitar.
