Travel from Budapest to Munich

This was not the travel day we planned.

We started our morning in Budapest with nothing but a calm stroll near St. Stephen’s Castle. But by mid-morning, we made a huge decision: we were leaving Hungary... today.

After completely changing our itinerary on the fly, we somehow managed to score business class seats for the price of economy from Budapest to Munich. It took time, calls, and a little magic—but we made it happen.

And just when we thought the chaos was over, we arrived at Munich Hauptbahnhof to find ourselves in the middle of a massive Syrian protest. Chants, flags, crowds—it felt like we walked right into a revolution.

From quiet castles to political unrest, this is one of our wildest travel days yet.
