After dominating the home computer market, Psygnosis were acquired by Sony in 1993, and the iconic owl logo soared into a new era of dominance. But even with the acquisition Psygnosis never lost their independence, never stopped innovating and never stopped their developer first model. Instead, they doubled down.

From Wipeout's futuristic racing revolution, Formula 1 sim-racing roots, Colony Wars space strategy, G-Police action and Destruction Derby chaos, Psygnosis was an important part in the success of the PlayStation. Unfortunately, their business model would ultimately lead to its studio closure in 2010. This is the story of developer first ambition, tech pushes, and legacy Psygnosis had in video games.
