The 13th Annual Kris Fuchigami Ukulele Contest!

Aloha everyone!!

We are so happy to announce that the 13th Annual Kris Fuchigami Ukulele Contest will be held ONLINE on NOVEMBER 1ST!!

We have had so many people reach out after we held the contest online a few years ago and so we decided to bring it back this year!

The auditions for the 13th Annual Kris Fuchigami Ukulele Contest will be held from September 1st to October 1st!
It will be an online YouTube video submission.

There will be 2 divisions. “Kids” 5-14 and “Adults” 15 and up.

This will also be an all amateur ukulele players contest meaning that if you have ever recorded a Single, EP, or an Album, you will not be able to participate.

Please see the instructions for your YouTube video submission below.

•All videos need to be recorded in landscape so that we can have all videos in wide angle.

•Video must be set on “unlisted.”

•Title the video “KFUKULELE13” followed by your name.

•Songs can be no longer than 6 minutes.

•No effects pedals such as reverb, distortion, loopers, etc. No backing tracks, singing, or collaborations. This will be a solo instrumental ukulele contest.

•State the following in your video.
Name
Age
Where you are from
Song title

The video must be shot in one take meaning that after you introduce yourself and the song you will be playing, you will begin playing your song without any cuts or editing of any kind in between your talking and your playing.

Any video that does not meet all of the requirements above will not be eligible to compete in this year’s ukulele contest.

We will then notify you if you made it as a finalist by October 10th!

If you’re a finalist, your video will then go on to compete in the final round with other ukulele players from around the world, and will be in the 13th Annual Kris Fuchigami Ukulele Contest premiering on my YouTube channel on November 1st!

The MC, Judges, and Prizes will be announced shortly!
