Albert "Sonny" Burgess (born May 28, 1931) was one of the wildest Rockabilly performers in the fifties. His first record was "We wanna boogie" b/w "Red headed woman" on the now legendary Sun Records. After four singles on Sun and one on the sister label Phillips Int. Sonny left the label and recorded for local Arkansas labels like the small company Razorback Records (owned by band member Bobby Crawford).
Here on stage he's backed by his long time band The legendary Pacers (this time: Bobby Crawford on drums, Fred Douglas on bass, and Jerry Lee 'Smoochy' Smith on the piano). Jerry Lee "Smoochy" Smith sprung in for the last remaining fifties original member of the Pacers, Kern K. Kennedy, who had a surgery and couldn't make the trip to Sweden. Jerry Lee "Smochy" Smith played a very hot piano - the whole band was rockin' and Sonny in top form! He played guitar and sang fantastic ! Recorded live on board of the MS Cinderella, Rock at Sea, 12.11.2011 Sweden
