The unaddressed issue of addiction is deeper and stems from unhealed childhood adversity. Approaching the inner child with love and creating a sense of safety, security and support allows your subconscious mind to reprogram and heal so that there is less desire for the addictive behaviour or substance. This creates a more holistic healing of the addiction and opens the space of for finding love, safety and support in our current day lives.

There are socially acceptable substance addictions like sugar, caffeine, nicotine, weed, salt, alcohol, prescription drugs and fat and there’s socially acceptable behaviours that are encouraged by our media like watching porn, screen time and consumerism. These addictions stem from the same problems as the socially unacceptable addictions such as gambling, hard drugs and sex.
