Vast abandoned area inc. farmsteads surrounded by the worlds largest China Clay deposits, for a number of reasons I've chosen not to name ANY locations here, some segments I have chosen not to show for a number of reasons. Any comments with locations will not be accepted.
Kaolin (clay) is mined with jets of water before being 'washed', it was often referred to as "china" to signify its quality & to market it as an equivalent to the esteemed Chinese porcelain.
The former conveyor belt tunnels are likely where the aggregate and sand waste were separated off with some going up to the waste tips, vast areas are now abandoned as production has moved to Brazil in recent years.
