Hey all!

I'm really excited to share this video with you I've had this arrangement recorded for a long while, but I ended up mostly putting this video together within the last two days.I had the great pleasure of arranging this piece for a video made by the wonderful Sculpted Nostalgia, which is an amazing YouTube channel that is all about crafting memorable gaming icons out of polymer clay. I've been a big fan for a long time now and I'm so happy we finally have gotten to work together on a video. This particular piece of music was written for his newest video, which is all about sculpting the master sword. You can check out his channel here!

It took me a long time to figure out how I wanted to approach this tune. It's such a classic melody now and it's honestly just so short and succinct that I didn't know how to make something different or engaging enough. I ended up extending the piece by starting the arrangement with slightly less thematically recognizable material and gradually getting closer to the original theme. I think I was trying to mimic the sculpting of the master sword in Sculpted nostalgia's video. I hope you all enjoy my approach for this one. I don't think it would have been that interesting if I had just played the piece as it was originally written.

I also had a great time shooting video at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. I had a relatively short time to make this video and ended up heading to the cathedral after work on a whim. It really is such a beautiful place and the employees there were so kind to me and allowed me to film inside. If you are ever in the San Francisco area, I highly recommend stopping by. :)
