Unboxing the Tick by Berg Blades, produced (OEM) by Reate.
Berg Blades is known for its high-end, high-quality, well thought-out designs. They are often my most favorite knives. The Sweeney and the Barber are in my top 10 list at very least.
This is the Damasteel and Zircuti version, though there are other versions that use S90V steel, and have small inlays.
Even though this unboxing didn't go smashingly well, I still think all of Berg Blades knives are fantastic. Out of the dozen or so Berg knives I have, this has been the only one that I struggled with using out-of-the-box like this.
After disassembly, I noticed a ball bearing was missing a ceramic ball, which may have mildly affected the function. I could 100% send the knife back for work, Matt, the guy behind Berg Blades, provides great support. But, I figured this may be a great chance to try Skiff bearing replacements.
I'll try to follow this up with a long term review.
