THE RACE WHERE MASSA LOST THE TITLE? The Story of the 2008 Japanese Grand Prix

The Japanese Grand Prix was a bit of a weird one. It was the first race after 'that' Singapore Grand Prix and was a race where Felipe Massa needed to bounce back after his one point deficit to Lewis Hamilton going into Singpore had become SEVEN coming out the other side.

But with Lewis facing a penalty for forcing Raikkonen off the road, Felipe tried to lob it inside Lewis at the chicane and ended up spinning him round, resulting in both of them getting penalties and both of them tumbling down the order.

So that begs the question: Is Japan where Massa's title was lost, in a minefield of hindsight and other things we know now? Let's have a look.
