Painting beautiful pine forests using acrylic colors and watercolors is my recent favorite art practice. I love the shapes of pine trees. The pine trees re so high in heights chasing the skies. I used the golden acrylic colors along with white nights tempera colors. The golden colors acrylic open thinner was used in place of just water. This color thinner when used as a acrylic medium makes acrylic colors behave like oil colors. The drying time of acrylic colors slows down and it can help creating beautiful effects that are otherwise achievable only with oils. The atmosphere of artwork becomes more softer.
Few days ago, I had painted a few pine trees using acrylic colors on a small canvas. I did feel to paint the same painting once again but on bigger canvas than before. It's raining here in India, and these mystical magical deep dark skies inspire me to paint mystical forests. Here the colors of sky is grey and it looks very ambient. The deeper cooler hues of green makes the painting very cool and chilling. Automatically it takes me in forests.
I am not so much used to painting with the acrylic colors. But I agree that acrylic colors have unique glowy feeling to it. And I am attracted towards it in recent days. It's enjoyable.
