CT W@r: Why Pak Army Preffered Chinese "Mengshi"? || Islamabad Files

In this programme, Islamabad Files examines the Counter Terrorism w@r and use of Armoured Personal Careers (APCs) or Mine Resistant and Ambush Protected Vehicles (MIRVs), especially Chinese one as Pakistan Army operates the Dongfeng Mengshi CSK-182 4×4 APC, a third-generation platform designed for counter-terrorism and low-intensity conflict. It carries the driver, crew, and up to eight infantry troops, providing protected mobility in hostile environments.

Inducted between 2021–2022, an estimated ~300 vehicles are in service, primarily deployed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tribal districts and Balochistan for border security, surveillance, and quick-reaction operations.
