Welcome to this video, if you want to learn how to log data in FTView this video is for you, Check on the left-hand side the Datalog folder, Check the folder structure, it organizes the different created data logs, Right click and new to open the datalog configuration window, On this window we can add the name of the log files and a few features as well, On the tab path we can define the folder location for the log files, On the file management tab is possible to choose how the file output will be divided, We defined to every night at midnight a new file will be generated, thus a 30 days period would create 30 files in the selected folder, To avoid a hard-drive overflow there is an option to auto-delete after a period of time in a First in first out concept, The triggers can be defined to collect the every x minutes or according to a defined trigger, The last tag allows the selection of the tags that will be stored in the datalog, you and pick from the online controller, Click add and ok to have the tag included to the datalog, The logs can be stored in a file or an ODBC database, in this case we will store in the selected file path, Define the datalog name, You can also open, verify and change the datalog configuration later on, So every time the datalog starts to run within the FTView Server the data will be stored.
